2025-07-30
Ievheniya Panichevska gave a lecture “The System of Social Services of Ukraine: Theory and Practice” for the Meeting Club for relatives and legal representatives of people with mental disorders. Ievheniya is the director of the NGO “The Research Society of Disabled People “Institute of Social Policy", a provider of social services in social adaptation, and a lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Thanks to Ms. Ievheniya’s expertise, the dry lecture topic became an action guide. The Meeting Club guests learned about the current social norms of Ukraine.
The model of relations between the state and citizens has changed to relations between the “provider” and “recipients” of services. The state now does not dictate to a person what they need, but must serve their needs. At the same time, this requires citizens to be active and aware of the state’s capabilities.
Thank you, Ms. Ievheniya, for the extremely useful knowledge!
