Meeting for relatives of people with mental health conditions within the seminar series "Learning from Mistakes."
2026-03-26
The meeting began with introductions: participants shared what they brought with them – their experiences, expectations, and requests.
The seminar facilitator, practical psychologist Ihor Nazarenko, discussed two typical behavioral scenarios in families where there is a person with a mental health condition. They also talked about common mistakes in interaction and principles that help build mutual understanding within the family.
A separate part of the session was a role-playing exercise dedicated to resolving conflict situations. Participants collectively analyzed different reaction options, sharing their own experiences and observations.
At the end of the meeting, everyone received a generalized behavioral model that can be used as a support in difficult conversations.
It was an attentive and sincere conversation about the challenges that often remain unspoken but are so familiar to many.
Thank you to everyone who was with us!
