Presenting DAISI Ukraine project on developing mobile multidisciplinary teams
2025-12-10
We joined the press conference at Ukrinform, where our partners and colleagues presented the DAISI Ukraine project (Developing and Integrating Community Mental Health Services in Ukraine), in which specialists from the NGO "Psychability" participate. The goal of the project is to develop mobile multidisciplinary teams in communities.
📚 We were glad to hear that the model is planned to be developed on an evidence-based scientific grounds and with a realistic approach to budgeting. We also sincerely support the intention to involve people with their own recovery experience in the teams — the "peer-to-peer" principle makes assistance more humane and effective.
💎 The words of Dennis Ougrin about the British practice, where one specialist of the mobile team accompanies an average of 5 families, were valuable. For Ukraine, this is an important guideline for planning the reform. Currently, according to statistics, up to 50 families can be assigned to one mobile team of 3-4 people, which is an unacceptably excessive load.
