Round table "2025: challenges, achievements and new opportunities in supporting people with disabilities" from the charitable foundation Сaritas Kyiv

The team of the NGO Psychability joined the round table “2025: Challenges, Achievements and New Opportunities in Supporting People with Disabilities”, organized by the charitable foundation Сaritas Kyiv. The event brought together non-governmental organizations and charitable foundations of Kyiv that work with people with disabilities.

The conversation was frank — about the difficult year 2025, which each organization experienced in its own way. For us, this year became a time of internal development and continued advocacy of the social service “Assistant to a Person with a Mental Disorder”.

Among our important achievements in 2025 is the preservation of a team of mental health specialists. This is what allows us to continue providing group employment therapy and psychotherapeutic support services to people with mental disorders. We also developed a practical psychoeducational course for relatives and legal representatives, which is now being successfully implemented in the organization.

Our cooperation with the NGO Ukrainian Strategy of Zelinsky also continues. Thanks to it, our space became a monthly meeting place for self-organized groups of people with mental disorders and their family members.

The conversation about plans for 2026 was especially valuable — lively, sincere, without formalities. We discussed the needs of organizations, mutual support and formats of cooperation that should appear ahead.

We sincerely thank the CF Caritas Kyiv for the invitation and the space for dialogue. Such meetings help the non-profit sector stick together and seek common answers to complex challenges. 🫶🏻
