Strengthening cooperation for the sake of common purpose

Our advocacy campaign for the creation of the service "Helper for a person with mental disabilities" is ongoing. Our main goal is to show the authorities how valuable and timely such a service is for Kievans. That is why we united with our colleagues from the charitable organization “BF “Ukrainian Social Defense”. This is important to strengthen us in this direction, leading to the exchange of information and the expansion of social connections. "Assistant to a person with mental disabilities" is a profession or profession that can provide comprehensive individual support to a person with mental disabilities and help them on the path to happiness or improving their quality of life. A similar service operates successfully in developed countries of Europe and America under the name “Case Management”. We want Ukraine to adopt the positive experience of these countries in the areas of mental health and inclusiveness. The head of the board of the public organization "Psychability" Lidiya Budyshevska Martynova and the head of the board of the charitable foundation "BF "Ukrainian Social Protection" Maya Ivanchuk signed a Memorandum of cooperation. Zokrema, they agreed on information support for the project "Advocacy campaign for the creation of the service "Helper for a person with mental disabilities" and planned joint actions for its implementation. We plan to involve people with disabilities in our research as part of the project and in participation in the round table. We will tell you more about the research in the next post 🙂
The advocacy campaign is being implemented by the public organization "Psychabilities" within the framework of the project "KNOWN - we change, teach, advocate, mentor inclusively", which is being implemented by the public union "League of the Strong" with the technical support of the UN Women in Ukraine and for funding the UN Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). However, this does not mean that the views and contents mentioned in the announcement are officially praised or recognized by the United Nations. The United Nations Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) is a flexible and effective funding instrument that supports quality approaches to enhancing the capacity of local women to prevent conflicts, respond to crises and emergencies, and utilize key peacebuilding capacities.
